I got this email from an LPN who (since she is anonymous I guess I can say lol) is 62 years old and is going back to school to get RN designation. I know her personally and 1. She is very motivated and disciplined, and 2. She is very physically fit and high energy. She has wonderful people skills too.
Her question.
Most people at age of 64 are retiring ….
Will employer employ older person verses younger ? Am I being cynical ? Main thing will I be employable at 64? Will I get first job
Graduating at 64?
No experience but there’s a big demand for nurses?
At age 64 will I able handle physical aspect of the job ? I think I’ll be okay 😉

What do YOU think? Is she nuts to take the next two years to chase this dream? I think she is the kind of person who will want to work several years and likely want to work part time after that. Tell me (in the comments or by email) what you think. I’d like to share your thoughts with her.
