RE: What agencies have Psych RN jobs for travelers?
In the real world agencies don’t really specialize. The way they work is  they proactively go out and obtain contracts with facilities to recruit to that facilites particular needs. At any given time it generally would include a number of di9fferent specialties. They bid against the competing agencies to get those contracts and retain them based on their success at filling the positions.
It is important to know that they are serving two “masters.” (Maybe even three when you consider the recruiter’s employing agency). They serve the facility and they serve the travel nurse. They try to make everyone happy.
My point in bringing this up is that you need to watch out for yourself. I hear lots of bitching and moaning and of course once in awhile it is warranted. But personal responsibility is the real name of the game. Read your contract carefully. Don’t just jump at the first great sounding location someone throws at you.
If you can, talk to travel nurses at the facility you currently work at. Ask them what to ask, and who they have dealt with. Just like anything else in life, there is nothing like a quality referral from someone you know and respect.
